Position: Business Development Specialist (Hunter)
Location: New York (on site)
Scope of Responsibilities:
Main task – acquiring new clients based in the U.S. and developing strong business relationships with existing customers in the field of sea freight (FCL).
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research and identifying potential clients;
- Analyzing customer needs and preparing tailored offers;
- Leading commercial negotiations;
- Preparing transport service quotations;
- Ensuring smooth onboarding and implementation of new clients;
- Collaborating with the tender department in preparing offers;
- Maintaining regular communication with the operations team and other divisions;
- Actively participating in industry events;
- Working towards clearly defined performance goals and sales targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least 4-5 years of B2B sales experience in sea freight (FCL) is a must; experience in air transportation sales is a strong advantage;
- Possession of an active book of business is essential for successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this role;
- Experience in identifying potential customers, building a sales pipeline and converting prospects into profitable long-term clients;
- Experience in providing support in the preparation and presentation of tender proposals;
- Proficient in English, enabling effective communication (knowledge of other languages will be an additional asset);
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently;
- Client-focused with solid negotiation abilities;
- Persistence and determination in achieving goals;
