AsstrA invites you to join our ambitious team as a Country Sales Manager at our branch in New York!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Management of a sales team based in the US (internal Sales Specialists and independent ones) and majoring in selling freight forwarding services (international transportation) for the US Customers;

-  Searching and Attracting new Sales and agents;
- Creating a motivating and supportive work environment and promoting the full potential of each employee within the entrusted team;
- Focus on customer orientation and continuous growth of the Customer portfolio of the Division;
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends and competitors' activity to identify the growth opportunities;
- Regular meetings with potential clients;
- Employing strategic approaches to guide discussions and gently influence potential clients towards mutually beneficial agreements; 
- Development of a clear sales strategy for the US region;
- Building and expanding long-term relationships with the existing Customers and new business;
- Cooperation with AsstrA colleagues worldwide taking part in the transportation processes with the US market;
- Effective coordination of the whole sales activities within the region and ensuring that sales goals are achieved - managing your own Customers as well as supervising the activity of your sales team;
- Control over the KPI fulfillment  - personal sales targets and team sales targets.


REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of sound professional experience in sales in freight forwarding industry;
- To have the book of business in a related field (direct clients);
- Deep understanding of the US market (main industries on the Customer side which might be interested in freight forwarding services  - both import and export with the US);
- Deep understanding of all the main products - FCL, FTL, air transportation procedures (rail can be optional);
- Extensive experience in handling major corporate accounts (Key Account Management clients);
- Comprehensive experience in collaborating with ocean carriers (air carriers) to negotiate contractual rates aligned with current business volumes, and resolving operational issues;
- Experience in mentoring and training newcomers;
- Team management experience;
- Previous experience in building sales processes would be an additional advantage;
- Understanding of the nuances of freight forwarding licensing regulations in the USA (will be an advantage);
- Be ready to work in commission-format (partially);
- Exceptional problem solving, communicative skills;
- Leadership skills to guide and inspire your team;
- Proactivity and responsibility;
- Ability to work both individually and in a team.
